Profiling J2EE Applications

Before running an application with the CodePro Profiler, you need to install the Web Tools Platform (WTP) and add the corresponding J2EE server. You should then create a profiling launch configuration. 

There are three ways to create a profiling launch configuration.

1. Using the Profile context menu in the Servers view of the Java EE perspective.

    Open the Java EE Perspective, select the Servers view, right-click to open the context menu and select the Profile menu item. 

Select CodePro Profiler launcher from the list of preferred launcher.

2. Using Profile With CodePro As context menu in the Project Explorer of the Java EE perspective.

    Right-click within the Project Explorer, select Profile With CodePro As and select Open Profile Dialog...

3. Using the drop-down menu of the Profile toolbar action.

    Click on the Profile toolbar drop-down menu and select pen Profile Dialog...

All of the above actions should create a profile launch configuration.

Use  Open Profile Dialog... to manage profile mode launch configurations.
