Product Registration and Activation
After
installing the product, it has to be registered and activated before it
can be used. Please follow the following instructions to register and activate the product:
Enter Serial Number - If you purchased the product, the serial number
should have been emailed to you. If you haven’t received your
serial number, please contact our sales department.
Enter Activation Key
- If you have a valid activation key, generated specifically for
the machine you're trying to activate, enter it as well. Leave it
blank if you don’t have one. Please note that activation keys are
machine specific and may not be shared with other machines. Each
machine that you use must be activated individually.
Do not enter anything in the Serial Number and Activation Key fields.
Choose CodePro Profiler
Choose whether to register directly over the web or by email:
Directly
over the web. The activation wizard will connect directly to the
Instantiations activation server. If you use an HTTP Proxy service,
enter your HTTP proxy host and port information in the fields provided.
By email. Activation by email may take up to 48 hours. You may need to adjust your spam filter to allow emails from our domain. If you are behind a firewall and can’t connect to our server or
if you have any problems at all with the web activation process, use
the email activation option instead. Note that if your support or eval
period has expired, you will need to use the email option. To renew
your support, please contact our sales department.
Modify Contact Information:
If
you have not activated on this machine before or if you have registered
in the past and you want to update your registration information,
check Modify your personal information option.
Click Next to continue.
Product Registration
If the Product Registration page appears, please enter your contact information.
All fields are required.
Please enter your first and last name.
Make
sure that you enter a valid email address in the Email Address field.
Your activation key will be sent to this address. If you enter an
invalid address, you will not be able to use the product. You may also
need to adjust your spam filter to allow emails from our domain.
Click Next.
Activation Incomplete
If you get the Activation Incomplete page, please check the email account you provided in the previous step. Once you receive the email from our server:
Click Finish to close the activation incomplete page.
Copy the activation key from the email and paste it into the activation key field.
No need to select the product this time.
Activation Complete
If
everything goes well, you should get the Activation Complete window. This
window may be different from the screen shot shown here depending on the
product and the type of activation you choose.
Click Finish to close the wizard and start using the product.
If
you choose to activate by email, you will see the Email Registration
page. Email activations may take up to 48 hours.
Create email
- Clicking the Create email button will create an email in your default
email program which you should send to registration(at)instantiations.com.
Copy to Clipboard - Alternatively, you can copy the contents of the text field using the Copy to Clipboard
button and paste it into a new email message. You might use this
option, if you need to use an alternate machine to send the email.
